Notice toward the bottom of the web page of items that can and can’t be dropped off that Needles & Other Sharps are accepted. (They must be packaged in FDA-approved sharps disposal containers that are made with puncture and leak-resistant plastic.) Their web site also includes a downloadable and printable Drop-off Schedule as well as a HHW Delivery Form that can be filled out ahead of time before you get to the drop-off location.

PLEASANTON TRANSFER STATION . 3110 Busch Road . (925) 846-2042 . Refund for CRV glass bottles, cans and plastic. Self-service FREE bins for non-CRV cans, glass jars and bottles, cardboard, magazines and office paper – NO PLASTIC. PLEASANTON POLICE DEPT PHARMACEUTICAL DISPOSAL . 4833 Bernal Avenue . Free pharmaceutical drop-off box is located in the lobby and is accessible to the public 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Disposal guidelines are located at the bottom of the second page of this web site CityofPleasantonCA.gov.
